Ranjit Rajan is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in research and consulting within the technology sector, particularly in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. As Vice President and Head of Research at IDC since April 2008, Ranjit has led initiatives in Digital Transformation, Smart Cities, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, the Internet of Things, and Cybersecurity, while advising senior leaders across various industries on strategic transformation. Ranjit previously held leadership roles at IDC, including Associate VP and Director, where responsibilities encompassed expanding research and consulting services, team development, and engaging with telecommunications and IT sectors. Earlier career experiences include managerial positions at Epicor Software Corporation, 3i Infotech, Techspan, and NIIT Technologies Limited, along with academic credentials from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and Cochin University of Science and Technology.
