Shari Lava

Shari Lava is an experienced professional in research and marketing, currently serving as Senior Research Director for AI and Automation at IDC since April 2019. With a background that includes roles as Research Director in AI and Automation and Small Medium Business Markets, Shari specializes in the fusion of AI, automation, and digital transformation to support business leaders and SMB buyers. Prior to IDC, Shari held significant positions such as Vice President of Marketing Intelligence & Services at Greystone Managed Investments, where a Marketing Intelligence team was built to enhance client experience and drive growth. Additional experience includes serving as Associate Vice-President at Info-Tech Research Group, where Shari led vendor advisory practices, and as a Communication and Change Manager at Deloitte Canada, focused on transformational change initiatives. Shari's career began in technical sales at Q & I Systems, and the educational journey includes degrees from Athabasca University, Ryerson University, and York University.
