William Lee serves as the Senior Research Director for IDC since July 2016, focusing on the IDC Cloud Services Research program and driving the research agenda related to industry clouds across the Asia Pacific region. With a background as Co-founder and Chief Trainer for The SMART Methodology from 2014 to 2016, William led training and advisory services while shaping the company's strategic direction. At IDC from 2011 to 2014, William functioned as Associate Research Director for Manufacturing Insights Asia/Pacific, delivering analysis on manufacturing strategies and best practices. Prior experience includes a tenure as Associate Research Scientist at SIMTech, where William contributed to industry development and operational consulting for local enterprises. Educational qualifications include an Engineering Doctorate from Cranfield University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
