Subrata Nayak

Subrata Nayak, PhD, has extensive experience in aerospace engineering, particularly in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aircraft, and aero engines. As a Freelance Industry Expert since September 2020, Subrata provides hands-on training and technical guidance focused on aerostructures and propulsion systems. Prior roles include Technical Leader and Lead Engineer at GE Aerospace, where Subrata led cross-functional teams for design optimization and new technology development. Additionally, Subrata served as R&D Team Leader at ideaForge, managing UAV lifecycle from concept to production, and contributed to software development at ZURU Tech India Pvt Ltd. Subrata's career is underpinned by a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, specializing in FRP composites and AI/ML applications.
