Together with our partners, customers and more than 350 employees at two production sites in Austria, we develop inspiring solutions of outstanding quality. Our history:
It all began on a traditional four-sided farm in Schörihub, a district of Gmunden. From there, sales started throughout Austria and later expanded across Europe.

In 1998, AKE was founded after the capacities of the original company had been fully exhausted. IDEAL and AKE shaped refrigeration and heating technology for decades and also achieved success in the US market.

In 2012, IDEAL and AKE combined their strengths in development, sales and marketing under one shared brand umbrella, setting a new milestone in customer orientation and service quality.

In 2022, NordCap, a long-standing partner, acquired a majority stake in IDEAL Kältetechnik GmbH and, as a result, in AKE Ausseer Kälte- und Edelstahltechnik GmbH.
