Vice President Research And Development at Ideal Semiconductor Devices

Mark Schmidt began their work experience in 2008 at Fairchild Semiconductor, where they worked in various technical roles, including process and technology development. Mark gained experience in traditional BCDMOS IC processes, MEMS, and Wide Band Gap materials. In 2015, they joined ON Semiconductor as a leader in process engineering and technology development, focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and cycle time to meet customer demand. In 2022, Mark moved to Diodes Incorporated, where they led the Analog Business Group Technology Development organization and was responsible for developing new analog technologies. Currently, Mark is the Vice President of Research and Development at iDEAL Semiconductor, where they lead the R&D organization and focuses on developing the R&D strategy to meet market opportunities and promote a culture of constant innovation.

Mark Schmidt has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), both obtained from the University of South Florida. Mark also holds a Six-Sigma Black Belt certification, which was obtained in December 2010 from SBTI.
