Sujata Mitra is an accomplished communications executive with extensive experience in corporate communications and earned media. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Group Head of Earned Media at Edelman since February 2019, Sujata leads a team to develop impactful media strategies. Additionally, Sujata became Senior Vice President and Head of Earned Media at idealis in May 2023 and serves on the Board of Advisors for the organization. Previous roles include leadership positions at Vox Media, Al-Monitor, The Huffington Post, CQ Roll Call, Allison & Partners, DKC, and the American Sociological Association. Sujata holds a BS/BA in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology from Boston University College of Communication.
