Rob J. has a long and varied career in the business world. Rob began their career in 1993 as an Account Executive at McNett Corporation, where they identified marketplace opportunities, prospected for new clients, and provided mentorship and professional development to account executives. In 1998, they were a Business Analyst at NewBizNet, where they collected and analyzed project requirements and prepared detailed documentation of project needs and specifications. In 2000, they became the Publications Manager ISSA at the Center for Teaching International Relations at the University of Denver, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the Training/Documentation department. In 2002, they were the Associate Director at Outward Bound Costa Rica, where they oversaw day-to-day operations, successfully implemented and monitored new programs, and secured funding from public and private sources. In 2013, they were a Market Investor Consultant at both Coleman Research and Primary Insight, LLC, providing a breadth and depth of knowledge in the CRM space related to the private sector, government, and nonprofits. Rob also founded Idealist Consulting, which helps nonprofits and progressive organizations grow through technology, in 2004. Finally, in 2020, they joined Salesforce.org as a Salesforce Advisory Board Member and the Entrepreneur Organization as a Board Member Strategic Partner Chair.

Rob J. obtained a BA from Western Washington University in 1993, majoring in Communications, Philosophy, and Sociology. Rob then went on to obtain an MA from the University of Denver in 2002, majoring in International Relations and Affairs (Conflict Resolution). In October 2022, Rob J. will become a NETHOPE Global Summit 2022 Delegate, certified by NetHope.
