Claudio Romano

Claudio Romano has a diverse background in electronic engineering, with significant roles spanning over a decade. From April 2011 to September 2015, Claudio served as an Electronic Engineer at Westport Fuel Systems Italia, focusing on developing next-generation Engine Control Units and ensuring flexible hardware architectures for safety-critical applications. Prior to that, Claudio contributed to Centro Ricerche Fiat from April 2007 to March 2009, working on a kinetic energy recovery system for high-performance automotive applications during the graduate thesis preparation. Following this, from April 2009 to March 2011, Claudio was the Engine Control Modules Manager at Metatron S.p.A., where responsibilities included structuring the electronic design business unit and establishing testing laboratories under ISO-TS quality standards. In October 2015, Claudio joined Ideas & Motion as an Electronic Engineer and later advanced to Head of HW System Design in May 2022, developing innovative technologies such as a compact smart sensor utilizing SPAD technology for distance measurement.
