Abigail Bottar

Abigail Bottar is an experienced reporter and producer currently working at Ideastream Public Media since August 2022, focusing on stories in Akron, Canton, and surrounding areas. Prior roles include serving as an Associate at DemList, where writing, researching, and fact-checking were key responsibilities from January to April 2022, and as a News Intern at WKSU from January 2020 to January 2022, where research and story recording were primary tasks. Additionally, Abigail held the position of Copy Desk Chief at The Burr from August 2019 to December 2021, overseeing the editing of blogs and articles for a biannual magazine. Abigail holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Kent State University, earned in 2022, and graduated with a high school diploma from Madison High School in 2018.
