Amanda Rabinowitz has extensive experience in broadcasting and education. Amanda served as an advisor at Black Squirrel Radio from September 2016 to May 2022, guiding students managing Kent State University's radio station. From 1998 to 2007, Amanda worked as a reporter at WJER and later held the position of assistant lecturer at The University of Akron, teaching various undergraduate communications courses until May 2016. Currently, Amanda is a host and reporter for WKSU, serving as the All Things Considered news anchor and producer of a weekly music segment called Shuffle. Additionally, Amanda is a host for Ideastream Public Media and previously taught storytelling with sound as an adjunct faculty member at Kent State University from January 2018 to May 2023. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Communications from The University of Akron and a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism from Ohio University.
