Aya Cathey

Aya Cathey currently serves as a Newscasts Intern at Ideastream Public Media since May 2023. In addition to this role, Aya holds the positions of President and Special Events Chair at the NAACP since June 2021. Aya's prior experience includes serving as Copy Chief at The Post from September 2021 to April 2023 and as Opinion Editor at The New Political from June 2021 to April 2023. Aya also worked as Associate Editor at Backdrop magazine from August 2020 to September 2021. Aya earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ohio University.
