Dan Shellenbarger

Dan Shellenbarger, PhD, MFA, is a seasoned leader in public media with extensive experience in journalism, storytelling, and education. As the General Manager of Ohio Public Media Services at Ideastream Public Media, Dan manages statewide teams, overseeing strategic initiatives, fundraising, and high-quality production across various platforms. Previously, Dan founded and served as Executive Director of OGT/The Ohio Channel, leading initiatives that enhanced government transparency and cultural storytelling in Ohio. With a strong academic background including a PhD in Arts Administration, Education, and Policy from The Ohio State University, Dan has held teaching positions and received multiple Emmy Awards for excellence in public media.
