Amy Bickel

Amy Bickel is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in agricultural journalism and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Communications and Marketing Manager at IdeaTek since January 2021, Bickel previously held positions such as Marketing and Communications Project Manager and Director of Marketing and Public Information Officer at the Kansas State Fair. Freelance writing and videography experience spans from April 2010 to the present, including contributions to Hutchinson Magazine, Kansas Magazine, and High Plains Journal. Bickel's early career includes roles as Agricultural Editor at The Hutchinson News and Agricultural Journalist at The Emporia Gazette, alongside significant project leadership in developing the KansasAgland website. Bickel holds a dual degree in agricultural journalism and animal science from Kansas State University and has completed the Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership program.
