John Phelps has over 30 years of experience in the plastic card industry, specializing since 1999 in the GSM/3G-5G (U)SIM card and device environment, alongside C/C++ application and Java Card applet development and testing. Phelps has worked in various roles, including Technical Manager for the Middle East & Africa at Oberthur Technologies, and has also served as a Technical Consultant Manager at the same company. Prior to that, Phelps held positions at Oberthur Card Systems, XPonCard, and Gemplus, accumulating extensive expertise in smart cards, software development, and M2M/IoT products. Currently, Phelps acts as a Subject Matter Expert at IDEMIA.
