Shields is the founder and chairman of IdentiSys. From 1991 to 1997, Shields held senior leadership roles at DataCard, including Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and President of the Desktop Division. IdentiSys is a supplier of identification systems, access control, line management, tracking, and CCTV, and currently serves over 28,000 customers in 26 states. Shields earned a BS in Business from Bluffton University in 1969.
