Manfred Mueller

Manfred Mueller has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Manfred started their career at BetaResearch GmbH in 1998, where they worked as a Product Manager and later as the New Technologies & Business Development Manager. Here, they led the application development for the German PayTV platform and managed strategic investments and collaborations with technology companies in the digital TV sector.

In 2000, Mueller joined SCM Microsystems, Inc. as the Director of Strategic Business Development. Manfred quickly progressed through various leadership roles, including Head of Strategic Marketing, WW VP of Sales & Marketing, and EVP of Business Development & Strategic Sales. During their time at SCM Microsystems, Mueller played a pivotal role in 10 M&A transactions and was involved in the recruitment and selection of a new CEO.

In 2002, Mueller became a Board Member at cv cryptovision GmbH, representing Identiv and SCM Microsystems on the Supervisory Board. Manfred held this position until August 2021, when Cryptovision was sold to ATOS.

Mueller then joined Identiv in 2010, assuming multiple executive roles. Manfred served as the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, and GM of ID Products, where they provided leadership for transponder and ID infrastructure product divisions. In 2013, they took on the role of Chief Operating Officer and GM of the Identity Business Unit, overseeing RFID and IoT product categories.

Throughout their career, Mueller has demonstrated strong operational leadership, strategic planning, and expertise in sales and marketing. Manfred has played a key role in expanding contract manufacturing capabilities, driving revenue growth, and leading post-merger integration efforts.

Manfred Mueller has an extensive education history. Manfred obtained their M. Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Regensburg in 1995. Manfred continued their studies at the same university and completed their Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1998. In 2001, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. In 2003, they attended the Management School St.Gallen for Leadership Education. In 2022, Manfred completed the Executive Leadership Development Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Recently, in 2023, they attended the London Business School for a course in Executing Strategy for Results.
