Aaron Russell

Director, Knowledge And Research at IDE Group

Aaron Russell has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Aaron started their career as an IT Manager at The Travel Lounge in 2001 before transitioning into the education field, teaching English as a Second Language at Language Link Russia from 2003 to 2004, and then becoming an ESL Teacher at GEOS from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Ausgrid as a Graduate Engineer and eventually became a Manager of Training, a position they held until 2014. During this time, they also took a sabbatical to complete a Master's degree at the University of Technology, Sydney. After their sabbatical, they worked as a self-employed Engineering Training Consultant, specializing in e-learning objects development. In 2015, they joined IDE Group as a Product Developer, progressing to become a Senior Product Developer and then a Technical Lead. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Knowledge and Research at IDE Group. Aaron's expertise lies in electronics design and development, software development, medical device design, and training and education.

Aaron Russell's education history includes a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Technology Sydney in 2014-2015, a Cert IV in Training and Assessment from Plenty Training in 2013, a B Engineering degree with a specialization in Electrical from the University of Technology Sydney in 2006, a CELTA certification from GEOS/University of Cambridge in 2002, and a Cert IV in Small Business Management from Harlequin Business and Training Consultants in 2002.
