Patsy Root

Patsy Root is a seasoned professional in the fields of government affairs and market development, currently serving as Senior Manager at IDEXX Laboratories since October 2006. Patsy is also an active member of several committees, including the ASHRAE 514 Committee and the SSPC 188 Executive Committee, focusing on minimizing risks in building water systems and managing legionellosis. Additionally, Patsy holds the position of Lab Committee Chair for the California Water Environment Association's Santa Ana River Basin Section and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for TNI - The NELAC Institute, which develops standards for environmental laboratory accreditation. As a Volunteer Trainer for ASSE International, Patsy contributes to education in the field, while previous experience includes technical sales at Maine Biotechnology Services, Inc. Patsy holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maine Orono, earned between 1991 and 1996.
