Lovro Persen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of identity documents, fraud detection, and security. Lovro is currently working as the Director of Product, Identity Documents, and Fraud at IDnow. Prior to this, they worked at IDnow France as a Product Owner, leading on fraud detection and pioneering the transition from document-centric to user-centric fraud detection. Lovro also served as an ePassport Specialist at The International Civil Aviation Organization and as the Head of Security Document Verification Team at Thales, where they were responsible for document verification and identity verification for KYC and Border Systems applications. Before that, they worked as an Advisor for Security Projects at Verona Communications Doha and as the Head of Security Projects Branch at INTERPOL, where they were involved in the creation and operations of the INTERPOL Passport and ID Card program. Additionally, they have worked in various roles at the Ministry of Interior of Croatia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, where they gained experience in national security, bodyguarding, and embassy security. Overall, Lovro Persen has a strong background in security, fraud detection, and document verification.

Lovro Persen obtained a Master's degree in Security Management from Loughborough University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Security Management from the same university from 2007 to 2010. Lovro also attended the Police Academy Croatia from 2003 to 2005, where they studied criminology and obtained a degree in Criminalist. Additionally, Lovro Persen has obtained several certifications, including ones related to anti money laundering, crisis management, information security management, and project management.
