Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Mark served as the Group Leader, Senior Director Immunology Biology at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd since July 2017. Prior to that, they worked as the Group Leader for Drug Discovery at Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd from 2016 to 2017. From 2008 to 2015, they held the position of Head of Laboratory at Actelion (now Janssen Pulmonary Hypertension). Mark completed their post-doctorate at Stanford University, CA from 2005 to 2007, and their doctorate at ISREC from 2000 to 2004.

Mark Murphy completed their education with a Masters in Biology from the University of Basel in 2001. Mark then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oncology and Immunology at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC) and the University of Lausanne, from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they attended Stanford University School of Medicine, where they obtained a post-doctoral degree in Biology from 2005 to 2007.
