Alan Moore

Alan Moore is an experienced professional in the geospatial industry, currently serving as Data & Research Director at Idox Geospatial since November 2024 and as Director at the Association for Geographic Information since January 2020. Previously, Alan held the roles of Geospatial Product Director and Head of Geospatial Services at Idox plc from August 2021 to May 2025. Alan also served as Chief Executive at thinkWhere from 2002 to June 2024, where oversight included the strategic direction and operations of the company, which transitioned from a local government shared service unit to a public limited company in 2007. Alan Moore holds an MSc in Geographic Information Systems from Annan Academy, completed between 1991 and 1992.
