Rafael Lichtenecker

Rafael Lichtenecker currently serves as the Vice President of Operations and Partner at idwall since January 2025. Previously, Rafael held various leadership positions, including Director of Operations, Customer Experience, Risk, and Fraud at Nomad, guiding a team of 90 and implementing anti-fraud strategies to maintain chargeback rates below 9bps. Rafael has also worked as Head of Risk and Anti-Fraud for Latin America at SumUp, and led payment networks at PPRO, where responsibilities included API development and pricing negotiation across multiple countries. Additional experience includes managing payments and regulations at Mercado Pago Brasil and overseeing fraud and chargeback management for Groupon in several Latin American countries. Rafael holds a bachelor's degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and a postgraduate degree from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing.
