Leonard (Leo) Eisner is a seasoned Principal Compliance & Regulatory Consultant at Eisner Safety Consultants since May 1997, specializing in product safety design support, notably for IEC 60601-1 standards. In addition to this role, Eisner has extensive involvement with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) since 2006, serving as a convener and committee member across multiple working groups focused on usability, safety requirements, and specialized devices for medical applications. Eisner also contributes to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) as a US Chair and Co-Chair for various working groups related to electromechanical equipment standards. Previous experience includes positions at Karl Storz Imaging, TUV America, and Underwriters Laboratories, alongside an educational background featuring an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BSEE from San Jose State University.
