Thomas Lieb is currently the Chairman of TC 76 at the IEC, focusing on optical radiation safety and laser equipment. Since 2008, Thomas has served as the Chairman for ANSI Z 136.9, overseeing the safe use of lasers in manufacturing environments. They also hold the position of President at L*A*I International and have previously contributed as a Board of Directors Member for the Laser Institute of America from 2010 to 2013 and as a Commissioner for the Board of Laser Safety from 2011 to 2013, where they participated in developing the Certified Laser Safety Officer Exam.
