David Bishop

VHDL Standards Working Group

David Bishop is an accomplished engineer with a robust background in digital design, particularly in ASIC and FPGA technologies. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Exelis, now part of Harris Corporation, since March 2019, David brings extensive experience from various esteemed organizations including IEEE, where involvement in the VHDL Standards Working Group resulted in the design of Fixed and Floating point libraries published in the IEEE-1076-2008. Prior roles include Principal Digital ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer at Intrinsix Corp., Senior Digital ASIC/FPGA Design Engineer at Eastman Kodak, Engineer at Lockheed Martin, and Electrical Engineer at General Electric Co. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University and an Associate's degree in Engineering from SUNY Canton.
