Doug Edwards

Doug Edwards, PE PMP, is a seasoned engineering professional with a robust career spanning several decades. Currently serving as Principal Standards & Solutions Engineer at Siemens since April 1994, Doug has held multiple senior roles, including Director of Environmental Health & Safety and Director of Quality and Customer Care. In parallel, Doug has been active in the IEEE since April 1995, contributing to various committees and leadership positions, including member and chair roles in the IEEE Standards Association Standards Board and leadership in the IEEE PES Switchgear Committee. Doug's earlier experience includes engineering management at Line Power and application engineering at Square D. Doug holds an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from East Carolina University.
