Edwin Puertas is an AI Software Architect and NLP Researcher with 20 years of experience in academia and industry. Currently, they serve as an Associate Professor at the Technological University of Bolívar, where they also lead the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Engineering. They are a member of the IEEE Artificial Intelligence Standards Committee and focus on the intersection of academic research and practical applications, particularly in AI and NLP. Edwin has contributed significantly to the field through teaching, research initiatives, and leading projects that enhance human-computer interaction and optimize natural language understanding. They hold a PhD in Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and have engaged in various roles that bridge the gap between industry and academia.
