Fangxing (Fran) Li is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently, Fangxing serves as the Director and UTK Campus Director at CURENT since August 2011, and as the Education Director and John W. Fisher Professor at the University of Tennessee since August 2005. Additionally, Fangxing holds the position of Editor-In-Chief for the IEEE Open Access Journal of Power and Energy since January 2020 and is an Adjunct Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, also active since 2005. Previous experience includes roles as Principal Consulting Engineer and Senior Consulting Engineer at ABB from February 2001 to August 2005. Fangxing earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and holds both a BSEE and MSEE in Electrical Power Engineering from Southeast University.
