Haider Abbas

Haider Abbas is a prominent expert in cybersecurity and information security, currently serving as the Director General of Pakistan’s National Cyber Emergency Response Team since July 2023. With extensive experience in academic and professional sectors, Haider holds several editorial positions, including Chair Publications for IEEE Islamabad and Associate Editor for multiple IEEE journals, as well as serving as Regional Editor for Springer Publishing. In academia, Haider is a tenured professor and head of Cyber Security at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and an expert panelist at the National Defence University Islamabad. Haider's educational background includes a PhD in Information Security from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Additional qualifications comprise certifications in Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking from prestigious institutions.
