Marc Emmelmann

802.11 Tgbc Chair

Marc Emmelmann is a Senior Researcher and Innovation Manager for the 5G Victori Project at Fraunhofer FOKUS since July 2010, with a background in research and development roles dating back to 1992. At IEEE, Marc serves as the 802.11 TGbc Chair, leading efforts to amend the IEEE 802.11 standard, and has held multiple influential positions including 802.11 Voting Member and 802.11 TGai Vice Chair, contributing significantly to various standardization projects. Prior to these roles, Marc worked as a Research Associate at TU Berlin, focusing on predictive and cognitive communication protocols for WLANs. Educationally, Marc holds a Dipl. Ing in Computer Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
