Mary Hodder is a consultant on privacy and personal data control technologies, co-founding Customer Commons in 2011 where they advocate for customer rights and control over personal data. Currently, Mary serves as the editor of the IEEE 7012 Personal Privacy Terms standard and co-leads the Open Notice project at Kantara. Their extensive experience spans product development in usability and user research, having founded Dabble.com and advised organizations like Sphere and Singularity University. Mary holds a Master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College.
