Michele Nelson

Michele Nelson currently serves as the Senior Director of Corporate Governance at IEEE, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Michele was the Vice President for Board Affairs and University Strategy at Seton Hall University from August 2020 to August 2023. Michele's extensive experience in higher education also includes various roles at Iona University from July 2008 to August 2020, such as Assistant Vice Provost for Student Services, Assistant Board Secretary, Director of Off-Campus and Commuter Services, and Adjunct Instructor in Speech Communication Studies. Michele's earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director of Judicial Affairs at Fordham University in early 2008 and as Residence Hall Director at Iona University from 2005 to 2007. Michele holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Fordham University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wagner College.
