Rakesh Kumar

Rakesh Kumar is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the technology sector, currently serving as President and CEO of TCX Inc. since January 2001. Rakesh holds significant roles within IEEE, including Board of Governors positions in the IEEE-HKN Honor Society and various IEEE Societies and Councils, alongside chairing several committees focused on data-driven business strategies and technical roadmaps. In addition, Rakesh is an entrepreneurship mentor and educator at UC San Diego and previously advised at AdvisoryCloud. Rakesh's leadership experience also includes serving as President of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society, overseeing a membership base of 10,000. Prior positions include VP and GM roles at Cadence/Tality and Cadence Design Systems, and a Director role at Unisys. Rakesh's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a Mini MBA from UC San Diego, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
