Robert Hurlbut

Robert Hurlbut is a highly experienced security professional specializing in Threat Modeling and Application Security. Currently serving as Principal Product Security Architect and Threat Modeling Trainer at Toreon since May 2025, Robert focuses on Application Security and AI Security. Prior roles include Principal Application Security Architect and Threat Modeling Lead at Aquia Inc, where Robert led multiple Threat Modeling programs and co-authored several influential publications. Robert has extensive experience at Bank of America, where a robust Threat Modeling Program was developed and training was provided to thousands of associates. Additional experience includes roles in security consulting and training at various organizations, including LearnNowOnline and Wells Fargo. Robert holds a PhD in Space Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University and has advanced degrees in Cyber Security and Mathematics.
