Sean Collison

Sean Collison is currently the Principal Embedded AI Firmware Architect at HP, where they lead the embedded OS and SoC selection for the Future Technology and Experience AI group. Previously, they served as the Principal Firmware Architect responsible for UEFI BIOS and security architectures for enterprise LaserJet platforms. Sean has over a decade of experience in the information technology and services industry, holding roles such as Server Support Manager at Student Computing Services and Sr. Server Administrator at SCAFCO. They hold a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Washington State University, where they focused on Forward Error Correction and conducted research that led to two US patents. Additionally, Sean has been actively involved in the IEEE Boise Section since 2010 in various leadership roles.
