Shivendra Panwar

Shivendra Panwar is a highly accomplished academic and professional in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Currently serving as a Professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering since 1985, Panwar has also held the position of Director at the Center for Advanced Technology in Telecommunications since 1996. Panwar has been recognized as an IEEE Life Fellow and IEEE Fellow since January 2011, and became a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors in November 2022. Membership with NYU WIRELESS has been maintained since January 2014. Panwar obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1983 and 1985 and 1981 to 1983, respectively, following a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, completed in 1981.
