Shmuel Auster

Shmuel Auster is the current Chair of the IEEE Israel Section and has served as a Member of the Board of Governors for the IEEE Standards Association from 2023 to 2026. With a long-standing career in engineering, Shmuel was the RF&MW Chief Scientist at Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. from 1980 to 2006 and later an R&D Manager at ELTA Systems Ltd. from 2006 to 2020. Shmuel holds both a B.Sc.EE and M.Sc.EE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University and is an Honorary Life Member of the Association of Engineers and Architects in Israel, among other notable memberships and roles within various engineering organizations.
