Simon Sherratt

Simon Sherratt is an accomplished academic and editor with extensive experience in the field of Consumer Electronics and Electronic Engineering. Currently serving as the Emeritus Editor in Chief and previously the Editor in Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics since January 2004, Simon has played a pivotal role in managing one of the leading journals in Consumer Electronics research. At the University of Reading, Simon holds multiple prominent positions including Professor of Biosensors and Professor of Consumer Electronics, along with roles such as Deputy Head of School and Director for Teaching and Learning. Simon's educational background includes a PhD in Signal Processing from The University of Salford, as well as an MSc in Data Telecommunications and Networking and a BEng in Electronic Systems and Control Engineering, reinforcing a strong foundation in engineering and technology.
