Sreeja Datta

Sreeja Datta is currently serving as a Global Research Intern at Mitacs since July 2023 and holds the position of Project Intern at JBNSTS Kolkata, focusing on UV-Visible and Fluorescence Spectrophotometry under the guidance of Dr. Maitree Bhattacharya. Sreeja is also a member of the IEEE Student Chapter of the Photonics Society and has taken on leadership roles as President and Secretary of The Optical Society of India. Additionally, Sreeja is a Student Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where the research is supervised by Dr. Samudra Roy on the topic of Optical Solitons. Sreeja is involved with student chapters of Optica and SPIE. Academically, Sreeja is pursuing a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto and holds a B.Tech in Optics and Optoelectronics Engineering from the University of Calcutta. Early education was completed at St. Joseph's Convent Chandannagar.
