Yang Shen

Yang Shen, Ph.D. is a highly experienced professional in software development and engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Software at Horizon Surgical Systems since October 2022. Yang's expertise includes FDA-compliant Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management, software and system infrastructure design, as well as people management. Additionally, Yang holds multiple panelist positions and has extensively contributed to grant evaluations at the National Science Foundation. As a Senior Member of IEEE, Yang has provided peer reviews for over 220 manuscripts across numerous prestigious journals and conferences. With a background in advanced robotics and control software, Yang has played a pivotal role in projects at Futronics Corporation and UBTECH Robotics, and has a solid academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
