Yang Shi is an experienced academic and editor with a strong background in electrical and computer engineering, holding a PhD from the University of Alberta (2005). Yang Shi served as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan from 2005 to 2009, and subsequently took on teaching and research roles at the University of Victoria from July 2014 to June 2014. In addition to academic positions, Yang Shi has contributed to the IEEE as Co-Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and has been active as a member of the IEEE Fellow Committee. Yang Shi has also held leadership roles in the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and serves on the IFAC Council and Membership Committee.
