Assaf Kasher is an accomplished engineer with extensive expertise in wireless communication, particularly in PHY layer and radar algorithms. Currently serving as the Vice Chair for TGbf (WLAN Sensing) and TGaz (Next Generation Positioning) at IEEE802 since September 2018, Assaf previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Qualcomm, specializing in wireless communication and radar technologies from June 2016 to June 2023. Prior roles include serving as the 60GHz PAN architect at Intel Corporation, where involvement in WiGiG products and Wi-Fi standards development took place, as well as leading the Algorithms Team at Surf Communication Solutions, focusing on modem designs. Early career experience at RAFAEL involved signal analysis and DSP algorithm implementation. Assaf holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, both from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
