Ken Gordon

Director, Federal Response Programs at IEM

A seasoned leader and emergency management expert, Ken Gordon has more than 15 years of experience in program management, project management, and disaster planning, and has demonstrated success working in interagency, multi-jurisdictional, and international environments. Over the course of his career with the military and in private industry, he has provided effective leadership for teams as large as 200 people.

Gordon has provided management oversight for numerous plan development projects at the Federal and regional levels, including all-hazards regional catastrophic incident response plans, as well as specific regional plans for earthquakes, tsunamis, biological incidents, and national security special events. He has also led the development of plan annexes for nuclear/radiological incidents, hurricanes, power restoration, floods, and tribal response and coordination.

Gordon is a member of the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA), the Military Officers Association of America, and the Association of the United States Army. He is a member and former President of the All-American Strategic Response Force Association. He has a Master’s degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
