Mark Smith

Mark Smith, CTS, is an accomplished AV CAD Designer with extensive experience in providing CAD drafting support for audiovisual installations across several companies. Currently at IES Communications since September 2020, Mark delivers remote CAD drafting services and has completed VDCI Revit classes. Previous roles include positions at AVI-SPL and Tekworks, where Mark focused on enhancing workflow management and training new CAD drafters. Mark's expertise was further developed at Southland Technology, specializing in advanced AutoCAD drafting for dynamic projects, and earlier at Orsa Group Architects as a Senior Job Captain, managing projects from conception through detailed construction documentation. Mark holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Palomar College, with additional education from the Rhode Island School of Design and NewSchool of Architecture & Design.
