Carolin Baumgartner

Carolin Baumgartner is an accomplished professional in information security, currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at both the Finanzdirektion Kanton Bern and the Steuerverwaltung des Kantons Bern since October 2019. With extensive experience as a lecturer at the Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg and as an invited expert at the Trusted Computing Group, Carolin has significantly contributed to the standardization of trusted computing platforms. Through active participation in the IETF and past roles such as Head of Information Security at siroop and Interdiscount, Carolin has implemented security frameworks, established compliance programs, and driven security initiatives. An educational background in Computer Science culminates in a PhD from Université de Fribourg and an MSc from the University of Bern.
