Daniel Petrie

Daniel Petrie is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in real-time IP communications and VoIP solutions. As the CEO and President of SIPez LLC since 2005, Daniel founded the consultancy practice specializing in custom solutions for IoT, SIP, and VoIP applications. Concurrently, Daniel serves as Vice President and founding board member of SIPfoundry, Inc., dedicated to promoting open-source VoIP development. Daniel has contributed to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) as a standards author and editor since 1998, notably working on a standard for conversational data exchange. Previous roles include Chief Architect at Pingtel Corp. and Systems Architect at Logica Inc., with a solid technical foundation stemming from early career experience at Computervision. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Industrial Management and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, complemented by an Associate's degree in Engineering Science.
