Fred Baker

Fred Baker has an extensive career in engineering and leadership within the technology sector, currently serving as an IETF Participant since June 1989 and as the RSSAC Co-Chair at ICANN since March 2017, representing ISC. Previously, Fred held the position of Fellow at Cisco Systems from September 1994 to September 2016, where responsibilities included mentoring engineers and advising senior management. Fred has also served as Chair of the IETF and as a member of the ISOC Board from 2002 to 2008. Earlier roles included Principal Engineer positions at Advanced Computer Communications and Vitalink Communications, as well as Principal Programmer/Analyst at Control Data Corporation. Fred's academic background includes education at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology from 1970 to 1973.
