Jon Hardwick

Jon Hardwick is a seasoned software architect currently serving as a Senior Software Architect at NVIDIA, focusing on networking software and systems since October 2024. In addition to this role, Jon has been a member of the IETF Routing Directorate since October 2015 and previously co-chaired the IETF's PCE working group. Prior experience includes a Principal Software Engineer position at Microsoft from March 2021 to October 2024, leading architecture for the Azure Private 5G Core team, and a significant tenure at Metaswitch Networks, where Jon held roles as Software Architect and Director of Product Management from January 2007 to February 2021. Earlier career milestones include positions at Data Connection Ltd. from September 1998 to December 2006, progressing from Lead Software Engineer to Principal Software Architect. Jon holds an M.Phys. in Physics from the University of Oxford and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from The Open University.
