Richard Scheffenegger

Richard Scheffenegger is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in network engineering and IT architecture. Currently serving as a Committer at FreeBSD since April 2020, Richard focuses on Base Stack TCP feature enhancements and optimizations. With a long tenure at NetApp, starting in January 2005, Richard holds the position of Senior Consulting Solutions Architect, specializing in storage performance optimization and systems analysis, and previously worked as a Storage Infrastructure Architect. Additionally, Richard has contributed to the IETF since March 2010, coauthoring drafts and RFCs related to transport signaling, and serving as the AQM Working Group Chair at Comsys from March 1997 to November 2003. Richard earned a Master of Science in IT Consulting from Universität für Weiterbildung Krems in 2008 and completed earlier education at HBLVA Rosensteingasse from 1990 to 1995.
